How To Check What Frequency Band Is Used By The Cell Phone?

There are many ways to check what frequency band is used by your cell phone. Here is our recommendation.

For iPhone, unfortunately, iOS system does not allow third-party app to access low-level data, but you might be able to check it in "Field Test Mode"
1. Dial *3001#12345#*, tap dial button
2. Click 'serving cell info'
3. Check 'freq band indicator';

To Check signal strength go back to previous menu and go into

'serving cell meas' and look at rsrp0 reading - that is your signal strength. Sometimes you may have to wait for a bit or exit and go back into menu for readings to show up on your phone.

For the Android phone, download and use the app: LTE Discovery, tap SIGNALS, check EARFCN(band number), 'DL Freq and UL Freq'. 'DL EARFCN and UL EARFCN '.
